THE Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) marked the new year with a beach cleaning campaign initiated as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and to promote awareness of environmental conservation, according to a press release.
Among the attendees were the JPMC’s staff members who teamed up on early Sunday morning for the green initiative that took place at the Jerudong Beach.
The programme was led by the Marketing Department of JPMC.
The participants were provided with garbage bags to compile the trash found on the beach and in its park areas.
“The beach cleaning campaign was one of JPMC’s engagements in environmental activities aside from their eco-friendly activity last year which is the paper recycling drive,” stated Ak Danny Pg Tajuddin.
Among the materials collected were papers, plastic bottles, wrappers, cans and other non-decomposable. The garbage bags were later collected by logistics from the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe) to be disposed of later on.
JPMC is a private hospital in Brunei that offers a spectrum of services catering to family and organisational needs, which include general, specialised and surgical healthcare services provided by highly qualified and committed multi-disciplinary medical teams utilising state-of-the-art technology.
