13 November 2020 – Following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on secondment programme between Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) and Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) fortnight ago, the intensive training for 21 cabin crews has come to an end. Earlier this morning, a graduation ceremony was held with the presence of Guest of Honour, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohd Isham bin Hj Jaafar, Minister of Health in his capacity as Chairman and Executive Director of JPMC, Mr Richard Rendell, Chief People & Performance Officer of RB, Management and staff of JPMC and RB.
Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohd Isham bin Hj Jaafar stated "It is a great pleasure welcoming RB Cabin Crews into JPMC as Patient Ambassador and we are thrilled that we will benefit from RB's best practices and knowledge in further enhancing our patient experience. The Patient Ambassador will provide value added personal touch that JPMC aims to establish with our patients and customers."
In Ms Zauyah Md Tarmizi, Chief Operating Officer of JPMC's opening remarks also stresses the importance of learning and training, "JPMC Management is confident that the selected Cabin Crews will be able to relief JPMC Healthcare providers after attending the 2 weeks intensive training. JPMC Doctors, Nurses and Allied Health professionals can devote themselves to caring for patients even greater."
The major thrust of the MoU is to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between Jerudong Park Medical Centre and Royal Brunei Airlines in the areas of hospitality, to uphold the highest standards for the community.
Through this collaboration, it is beneficial as it will strengthen the manpower competencies that shall bring forward good effort towards achieving of both organization objectives.
