22 June 2017 – A total of 30 orphans from Mukim Jerudong received donations during a Khatam Al-Qur'an & Tahlil ceremony held yesterday at The Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) at the Aerobics Studio of JPMC.
Attending the ceremony were Awang Ahmad Jefri bin Abdul Rahman and Hj Bahrin bin Hj Md Yussof, members of the Board of Directors of JPMC, Dato Paduka Dr Hj Md Isham Bin Hj Jaafar, Executive Director and Medical Director of JPMC, the centre's associates and staff as well as members of the public.
The donation was aim to bring joy and uplift the orphans so that they can celebrate a meaningful month of Ramadhan. The importance of charity is heavily emphasized in the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam (peace be upon him) and it serves as a way to bring justice, balance and kindness to every society and community.
The Khatam Al-Qur'an ceremony was led by Imam Haji Kamaruzaman bin Haji Jakar of Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque, Jerudong, and their Dzikir members along with staff members of The Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC); where the congregation recited 30 juzuk of the Holy Al-Qur'an.
The ceremony then continued with the breaking of fast followed by mass Maghrib prayers.
