MERRY performances in the form of songs, dances and sketches recently enlivened patients and staff of the Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) Rehabilitation Department during the private hospital's Rehab Family Fest.
The event was dedicated to celebrating the rehab patients' efforts and achievements in following intensive therapeutic rehabilitation programmes that were tailored to them by the physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech & language therapists of the department.
Other highlights included a video presentation of the patients' therapeutic rehabilitation journey as well as a presentation of Certificates of Achievements to the patients by the guest of honour, member of the Board of Directors of JPMC, Abdul Lattif Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Hj Md Yusuf.
Also present to give their support were JPMC's Executive Director and Medical Director Dato Paduka Dr Hj Mohd Isham Hj Jaafar; Deputy Head and Head Consultant of Brunei Neuroscience, Stroke and Rehabilitation Centre (BNSRC) Dr Burc Bassa and families of the patients.
There were a total of 51 stroke patients — out of which 10 are inpatients and 41 are outpatients — as well as a cardiac patient from Gleneagles JPMC who had participated in this year's therapeutic group activity programme.
