WINNERS of the recent World AIDS Day quiz organised by Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) yesterday were awarded prizes at a prize presentation ceremony held at the premises of the medical centre.
The 10 quiz winners brought home goodie bags worth $150 which includes a one-month free membership at JPMC's Fitness Centre, one voucher or 20 per cent discounts on selected treatments or services available at JPMC and one voucher of 10 per cent discount on purchases at the pharmacy which were all sponsored by JPMC and JPMC Fitness Centre.
Prior to the event, the recitation of a Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa was held. It was then followed by a welcoming speech from JPMC Marketing Officer, Ak Danny Pg Tajuddin, who expressed appreciation to all who had participated in the quiz which was held in conjunction with this year's World AIDS Day.
Present to hand over the prizes to the lucky winners was Brunei Press General Manager, Reggie See.
After the prize presentation ceremony, a cheque of $1,158 was presented to the Brunei Darussalam AIDS Council which was received by its president, Iswandy Ahmad.
The amount was raised from the red ribbon sale and also donations towards the fund.
"I am very excited to receive countless respondents that support our awareness campaign," said Ak Danny.
He also added, "As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility programme to give back to the community, we hope to organise similar health awareness events in the future."
The World AIDS Day Campaign was supported by Brunei Press Sdn Bhd and JPMC Fitness Centre.
