The Legal Officer provides legal counsel and support to the hospital, ensuring compliance with healthcare laws, managing legal risks, and protecting the hospital's interests. The role includes advising on contracts, regulatory compliance, disputes, and employment law, while overseeing legal matters related to patient care, hospital operations, and corporate governance.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB), preferably with coursework or electives in Health Law, Medical Ethics or Corporate Governance.
  • Master’s degree in Law with specialization in Healthcare Law, Medical Ethics and Legal Policy, Corporate and Commercial Law and Regulatory and Compliance Law will be an added advantage.
  • 5-8 years of experience in healthcare law or corporate legal advisory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on healthcare regulations, patient rights, employment law, and corporate governance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (e.g., vendor agreements, employment contracts) to ensure compliance and protect hospital interests.
  • Ensure the hospital adheres to healthcare laws, data protection regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Advise on employee relations, contracts, and workplace issues, ensuring compliance with labor laws.
