Job Summary

  • The Pharmacy Inventory Executive is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management ofpharmaceutical stock. This role ensures cost-efficient procurement, seamless supply chain flow, and strictadherence to ethical pharmaceutical standards to support frontline clinical staff.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Mathematics or a related field is required.

Principles Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Monitor pharmaceutical usage patterns in coordination with members of the Inventory Team to trigger timely replenishment and prevent stockouts.
  • Collaborate with storekeepers to ensure all medications are stored according to hospital policy, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on stock balances to multidisciplinary teams.

Procurement & Vendor Relations

  • Execute data-driven analysis of procurement and inventory processes to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Liaise regularly with suppliers to track order status and ensure the punctual delivery of essential stock.
  • Liaise with Procurement Department to ensure timely dispatch of POs to suppliers.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain meticulous records for all medication purchases, sales, and internal/external loans.
  • Uphold and promote ethical pharmaceutical practices in all dealings.

Reporting & Communication

  • Serve as the primary liaison for pharmacy staff regarding the real-time status of medication orders.
  • Provide comprehensive reports to the Pharmacist regarding stock distribution, storage issues, andordering trends.
