Job Summary

  • As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality healthcare to our customers.

Educational and Professional Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not essential.
  • Higher National Diploma in Pharmacy Dispenser or any other related field is required
  • An undergraduate degree Pharmacy Dispenser or any other related field from an institute recognized by the Government of His Majesty is desirable.
  • Candidates who have equivalent qualifications through education and/or experience may be considered for assignment to this position.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical products and basic medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and pharmacy software.
  • Good mathematical skills for calculations related to medication dosages.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage inventory and stock levels, ensuring medications are available when needed.
  • Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities, and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with medication-related inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns.
  • Handle cash register operations, including processing payments and managing financial transactions accurately.
  • Support pharmacists in performing general administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and recordkeeping.
  • Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
