Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with more than 15 years experience, specializing in Microneurovascular surgery. Served as Consultant Plastic Surgeon for more than 8 years in various tertiary referral centers in India. Was also involved in tutoring Under Graduates and Surgical Post Graduates while working as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery in India.

After joining the Department of MFPRSC, Brunei, in 2018, the focus has been on Reconstructive Plastic surgery with special interest in microvascular free tissue transfer and revascularization procedures.

As Head of Facial Aesthetic and Hair Transplant Department, performs various facial aesthetic procedures, Laser services, Hair transplant and PRP treatments for hair and face, aimed at provision of aesthetic services adhering to safe individualized treatment options.

Another area of interest is management of facial burns and its sequelae through a multimodality approach including Laser treatment of post-burn scars and surgical correction of deformities.

As a member of Morbidity and Mortality committee, MFPRSC, actively participates in identification of issues of concern, case discussions and formulation of guidelines to ensure safe clinical practice.

Attends relevant National/International workshops and conferences to facilitate professional development and delivers Departmental lectures as part of Continuing Medical Education. Engages in mentoring and offering guidance to attachment students interested in pursuing a career in medicine.

Qualifications

• 2001 Graduated from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry University.
• 2005 Admitted to the degree of Master of Surgery in the branch of General Surgery from the Pondicherry University.
• 2006 Admitted as a Diplomate of the National Board for the practice of General Surgery by the National board of Examinations, India.
• 2008 Admitted to the degree of Master of Chirurgery in the branch of Plastic Surgery from the University of Kerala.
