Job Summary

Pharmacy Support/ Cashier support will include performing cashier duties, helping with customer inquiries,
stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Strong customer service skills and
attention to detail are essential for this position. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
as training will be provided.

Educational and Professional Requirements

  • A minimum 3 years working experience in the same field.
  • Minimum one year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and
    experience.
  • Minimum GCE “O” Level or equivalent supplemented with standard commercial courses.
  • Knowledge in computerized accounting would be an advantage.
  • Must be fluent in spoken English and Malay.
  • Good in mathematics (arithmetic and algebra).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge (Use of Microsoft office)

 

Principles Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet patients/customers entering pharmacy and accommodate to their queries Receive payment by cash,
    credit cards, vouchers and issuing receipts, refunds, credit, or change due to patients.
  • Maintain a logbook for handover during shifts and for auditing purposes Document all transaction
    discrepancies and report to Pharmacy Manager or Senior Pharmacist.
  • All daily financial reports, including Incident Report for any discrepancies, to be endorsed by either
    Pharmacy.
  • Manager or Senior Pharmacist before submitting to Finance department Responsible for following up
    pending invoices that are not submitted to Finance Department
  • Stock up shelves and put on price labels on all items before displaying on the shelves
  • Responsible for ordering consumables, office stationery and general items from Material Management
    department.
  • Monitoring par level of retail items by checking stock regularly and following up on purchase orders.
  • Responsible for keeping track/ swapping own duty roster. It is an individual’s responsibility to make
    arrangement for exchange of shifts.
  • Attend all compulsory trainings/briefing as mandate by the Hospital such as Basic Life Support (every 2
    years), Facility, Management and Safety (FMS), Radiography Imaging briefing.
  • Participate actively in product training and Continuous Medical Education organized by the department
  • Performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential.
