Job Summary

  • The Radiographer willl be involves in planning and executing radiological examinations to provide high-quality, safe, and competent patient care while minimizing radiation hazards.

Professional Requirements and Educational Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in radiography
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Imaging or related field
  • Up to date knowledge of radiation protection and basic resuscitation techniques.
  • Up to date with practices of infection control.

Principles Duties and Responsibilities

General Radiography

  • Prepare rooms and patients for procedures, select proper technical factors (ALARA principle), and
    operate equipment according to protocol.

Specialised Imaging

  • Perform mammography, O.P.G., portable examinations, and assist radiologists in specialized
    investigations or O.T. cases.

Patient Care

  • Communicate clearly with patients regarding procedures, obtain relevant clinical histories, and practice
    strict infection control and sterile techniques.

Quality Assurance

  • Inspect films for technical sufficiency, maintain clinical records, and ensure proper patient identification
    on all images.

Safety

  • Strictly adhere to radiation protection standards, utilize protective barriers, and wear personal
    monitoring devices.
