Dr Abang Muhammad Fahmy is a Rehabilitation Medicine Consultant and the Head of Rehabilitation Department at Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) in 2001 from University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff, United Kingdom.  He started his service with the Ministry of Health as a Medical Officer in 2002 and underwent Internal Medicine basic training before going to Adelaide, Australia for specialist training in Rehabilitation Medicine.  He became a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in July 2012.  He returned home in January 2014 as the first Rehabilitation Medicine Consultant in Brunei.  A large part of his core business is restoring function for people who has been disabled as a result of a disease, disorder, or injury.  He is a strong advocate for people with disability and has been the focal for disability issues in the Ministry of Health for many years.
