Following qualification in 1995 from the University Of Manchester School of Medicine, UK, Dr Lim underwent 2 years of training as an Accidents & Emergency doctor in a busy district general hospital in Blackpool, England. He then began Basic Specialist Training in Ophthalmology and worked at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre, Birmingham, UK – one of the largest eye institutions in Europe, before joining the Eye Department at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital in Brunei Darussalam in 2002. He later continued the Advanced Specialist Training in Ophthalmology at the Singapore National Eye Centre, Singapore. Currently, he is the Head of Department of Ophthalmology at RIPAS Hospital.
