Background

Dr Tan has served for the population of Brunei since 2001 and has worked for a variety of departments during his training. Upon completing his fellowship training in colorectal surgery, he has been promoted to various administrative posts including head of department and chief in clinical services in surgery. He currently works full-time as an associate specialist in RIPAS Hospital and is a certified instructor for Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support courses.

His surgical specialties include open and laparoscopic colonic resections, cholecystectomies and proctological procedures. He also performs diagnostic endoscopic procedures.
