Dr. Zulkhairi Mohamad

About The Doctor
Dr. Zulkhairi Mohamad graduated from Cardiff University in 2005 and returned to Brunei for his basic specialty training in Medicine after completing his Foundation training in Wales. He obtained Membership in the Royal College of Physicians in 2014. Subsequently, he pursued and successfully finished his advanced specialty training in Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Centre in Singapore, graduating in July 2020. In 2024, he completed a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Clinical Leadership.
In 2022, Dr. Zulkhairi was elected as an Adjunct Senior Assistant Professor and has been actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching for Medical and Nursing students at the Institute of Health Science, UBD. He developed the Medical Oncology Curriculum for Basic Specialty Trainees and is engaged in facilitating and enhancing the clinical management of non-communicable diseases, as well as strengthening research and cancer surveillance as part of the Brunei Darussalam Multi-sectoral Action Plan (BRUMAP NCD).
Currently, Dr. Zulkhairi serves as the Head of the Department of Medical Oncology and has a special interest in gynecological cancers. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to his patients, utilizing his training and expertise to deliver personalized treatment.
As part of his role as an Education Officer on the RET committee, he is actively involved in external and public awareness campaigns, which include conducting talks and lectures for schools, as well as government and private institutions.
