Jerudong Park Medical Centre is proud to announce the beginning of a historic partnership today with Yashoda Healthcare Services Private Limited, Hyderabad, India.
With this, an important milestone is marked at the outset of a long journey which is bound to make Brunei Darussalam the most sought after healthcare destination for high end advanced medical and surgical care. The seeds for this historic partnership were sown a year ago, emanated and guided by the vision of JPMC board. After due diligence and healthy discussions and deliberations, today marks a golden day wherein the Memorandum of Understanding is signed between Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) and Yashoda Healthcare Services Private Limited.
Yang Mulia Tuan Hj Maswadi bin Hj Mohsin, his capacity as the JPMC Board member and Dr Chandraskar Ramamoorthy, Executive Vice President, Yashoda Healthcare Services Private Limited were the esteemed signatories. The event was widely attended and appreciated. The understanding between the two hospitals symbolises a partnership at the level of 2 nations, Brunei Darussalam and India, to collaborate in the field of Liver and Kidney transplants and also complex hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal surgeries.
The pinnacle of healthcare today in the world is solid organ transplantation. And this precisely is the reason why liver and kidney transplants were the chosen domain of collaboration between JPMC and Yashoda Healthcare Services Private Limited.
Speaking at the grand event, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Md Isham Bin Hj Jaafar, in his capacity as Chairman and Executive Director of JPMC said, “It is a proud and happy moment for all of us here in Brunei Darussalam. Indeed with this MOU, we have laid the foundation to making Brunei Darussalam the center of excellence in solid organ transplantation.”
Dr Chandrasekar Ramamoorthy said, “We thank His Majesty and the government of Brunei Darussalam for his blessings and for giving us this wonderful opportunity to serve the people of Brunei in association with JPMC. Dr Balachandran Menon, Director of Institute of Liver Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgery of Yashoda Hospitals also spoke, “The Yashoda transplant team has successfully teamed up with several countries such as Myanmar, Mongolia, Uzbekistan , Kazakhstan and countries in African continent as well.
