
20 August 2025 – Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) and BNH Hospital Thailand has mutually signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to mark the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing medical excellence and cross-boarder healthcare collaboration.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, as the Guest of Honour. Also in attendance was Her Excellency Boosara Kanchanalai, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam, along with senior officials, officers, and staff from the Ministry of Health (MOH), JPMC, and BNH Hospital Thailand.
Signing on behalf of JPMC was Dr Meera Sahib Kabeer, Chief Medical Officer, witnessed by Madam Bun Pei Ling, Chief Financial Officer. Representing BNH Hospital was Dr Nopparat Panthongwiriyakul, Hospital Director, witnessed by Mr Thanasit Siripokhakul, Director of Marketing and Public Relations.


Under the MoU, both parties will be exploring opportunities in medical staff exchange, co-development of specialised services, particularly in orthopaedics, fertility, oncology, multi-disciplinary consultations for complex cases and other advanced specialties. The partnership also supports joint research activities, academic programmes, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of medical tourism initiatives with the unified goal of providing patients with broader access to elevated quality healthcare.
The event also saw the signing of a separate MoU between the Ministry of Health (MoH) and BNH Hospital Thailand, further strengthening the healthcare relationship between the two countries through broader cooperation in medical services and capacity building.
