30 June 2025 – Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) brought movement, meaning and community spirit to life through its successful “Move for Hope” Zumba Fundraising Event, held today at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.
Held in conjunction with International Nurses and Midwives Day (INMD) 2025, the event welcomed more than 600 participants from the public and government bodies, united by a shared goal: to support students in need of educational support through the Ri’ayāh Wa Maḥabbah Programme under the Ministry of Education.
The event was officiated by the Guest of Honour, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, in his capacity as Chairman and Executive Director of JPMC. Also in attendance was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr Hjh Romaizah binti Hj Md Salleh, Minister of Education.

Each participant received a limited-edition merchandise kit and took part in the energetic fitness sessions, with all proceeds channelled towards helping students thrive in a safe and stable academic environment.
As part of the broader INMD celebration, the event aligned with the global theme “Our Nurses, Our Future: Caring for Nurses Strengthens Economies”, honouring the dedication of nurses and midwives while also highlighting JPMC’s commitment to holistic care and social responsibility.
“Move for Hope” was among the highlights of this year’s INMD 2025 commemoration, which also included the INMD 2025 Conference, Spin for Hope, and Breakfast with Nurses. More than just celebrations, these initiatives reflect JPMC’s dedication to addressing educational disparities through the provision of school supplies, uniforms, and tuition assistance for students, alongside public awareness efforts on barriers to education access.
