JPMC welcomes Politeknik Brunei School of Health Sciences Students

JERUDONG, 15th January 2026 – Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) was pleased to receive a visit from 20 final year students of the School of Health and Sciences, Politeknik Brunei, accompanied by two lecturers. The visit formed part of their 2.5-year programme and provided valuable exposure to the application of public health principles within a private tertiary healthcare setting.

During the visit, students gained insights into the diverse professional roles within healthcare institutions and explored how academic learning translates into professional practice. The engagement also offered opportunities to understand potential internship placements and future career pathways relevant to public health graduates.

The students were welcomed by JPMC’s Public Relations team and accompanied by Deputy Director of Nursing, Matron Hajah Salbiah binti Hj Daud, together with representatives from several departments. Their programme included visits to the Laboratory Department, Executive Ward, Outpatient Department, Pharmacy Department, and Obstetrics & Gynecology Ward, where they observed how multidisciplinary teams collaborate to deliver patient care and uphold clinical standards.

The visit underscored JPMC’s role as a trusted partner in nurturing Brunei’s healthcare talent pipeline, fostering collaboration between academic institutions and the medical community. By opening its doors to future professionals, JPMC not only highlighted the importance of experiential learning but also reinforced its dedication to shaping a workforce equipped with the skills, knowledge, and values needed to advance the nation’s health services.
