Our aim is to deliver the highest standard of care and treatment for our patients by our team of cancer specialist doctors, highly skilled nurses and other allied health professionals.

Establishment

The Brunei Cancer Centre (TBCC) was established in 2009 dedicated to cancer diagnosis, treatment, education and research. We offer comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic cancer services involving our multidisciplinary team to individualise treatment for our patients. In our care, we also collaborate with international renowned cancer centres.

The Brunei Cancer Centre (TBCC) has pledged to take more proactive steps and execute carefully thought-out activities with the aim to educate, detect early and prevent cancer together with our partners from the private, government and non-governmental agencies locally and internationally.

TBCC’s nuclear medicine imaging ability includes a :

•  PET-CT scanner that can help to detect cancer, reveal whether it has spread, checking whether a cancer treatment works and assessing if a cancer has recurred.
•  A single-photon emission computerized tomography SPECT-CT scan that can help diagnose or monitor brain disorders, heart problems and bone disorders.

Clinical Specialities 

RADIOTHERAPY

Radiation therapy is a form of cancer treatment that uses ionizing radiation (x-rays). Radiation therapy is often used in conjunction with other treatment modalities, such as surgery and chemotherapy.

NUCLEAR MEDICINE

Nuclear medicine is the branch of medicine in which radioactive materials (also called radioisotopes, radiopharmaceutical or radiotracer) are administered to patients for diagnosis and treatment of cancer and non-cancerous diseases.

MEDICAL ONCOLOGY

A team of medical oncology consultants, senior medical officers, junior medical officers and specialty nurses covering outpatient clinic, day care unit and inpatient care.

EARLY DETECTION CANCER PREVENTION SERVICES

We offer consultative and cancer screening clinic, focusing on health education and cancer risks assessment for those well individuals with high risk and/or with family history of cancer.
