About The Doctor

With more than twenty years of experience in Neurosurgery, I presently work as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the Brunei Neuroscience Stroke and Rehabilitation Center of JPMC. My areas of interest are spine, neurovascular, neuro-endoscopy and neuro-oncology. I am actively involved in professional development programs. I have given public health talks and scientific lectures in different forums. I believe that the easiest way to stay updated is teaching and are therefore involved with programs for basic surgical trainees (BST) at RIPAS hospital, neurology specialty trainees (NST) at BNSRC and the medical students at UBD. I am in good standing and affiliated with the Indian Medical Association, Travancore Cochin Medical Council, the Neurological Society of India, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (USA), the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine and the Brunei Medical Board. I am also a part of the editorial board of the Journal of Spinal Surgeons (JOSS).Outside of work you can find me running or hiking to discover the many hidden treasures in Brunei. I thoroughly enjoy gardening and reading.

Academic Qualifications

I graduated in 1999 from Thrissur Medical College, Kerala.

I completed my masters training program in General Surgery from Kottayam Medical College, Kerala in 2002.

Did my sub specialization in Neurosurgery between 2004 to 2007 from Trivandrum Medical College, Kerala.

Teaching experience

1) I Worked as a Senior Lecturer in The Department of Neurosurgery at The Government Medical College, Thrissur, From October 2007 to October 2008.

2) Served as Senior Lecturer in The Department of Plastic Surgery at The Government Medical College Kottayam, From February 2003 to August 2003.

3) Currently working as an Adjunct Senior Assistant Professor in UBD, Institute of Health Sciences, Brunei Darussalam from January 2024.
