Has 39 Years of Clinical and Teaching experience, after MD, Medicine 1980-2019

He served  as Professor Neurology from 2003 and later Sr.Professor  from 2016 and Head of the Department Neurology 2009- 2018  at The Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology Trivandrum  an Institute of National importance under the Govt of India  

Dr Nair was Incharge of Neuro Muscular subspeciality
and involved in formation of a multidisciplinary Comprehensive Neuro Muscular Clinic 
comprising of Senior MSW, Senior Physiotherapist, and staff NurseSCT, to address the special needs of patients with complex neuro muscular disorders like Myasthenia Gravis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, CIDP. Muscular Dystrophy, Motor Neurone Disease 
and others .

He was also instrumental in starting a PDF programme in Neuromuscular Medicine for the first time including planning of curriculum and the opportunity to participate in Drug trials.

He has been a Post Graduate teacher involved in teaching and training of 104 DM post graduates, 1985- 2018, and a PG guide for DM thesis for several batches of students, Internal examiner for DM Neurology examination of SCTIMST years 1992,1994, 1995,2001,2002,2009,2010,2011,2012,2013. Dr Nair was the DM postgraduate External Examiner for the following Institutions

Presently, Dr Nair is working as Senior Consultant Neurology at PJSC, BNSRC since 2^nd February 2022. His expertise includes clinical neurology and electrophysiology. He imparts clinical teaching and PG lectures for the Neurology trainees and medical students.
