Dr. Lo Shir Kiong

About The Doctor
Dr Lu is a consultant medical oncologist at The Brunei Cancer Centre. He is a specialist in the treatment of different solid tumours with special interest in lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancers and sarcomas using systemic anticancer therapies which include chemotherapy, targeted therapies and immunotherapy.
Dr Lu qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2000. He completed his medical oncology training at The Royal Marsden Hospital and was appointed as a consultant at The Brunei Cancer Centre in 2016. He also completed a period of research leading to the award of an MD(res) from Imperial College London where his area of research was on malignant pleural mesothelioma using whole exome sequencing.
Dr Lu has presented his work at international oncology conferences including ECCO, WCLC and ASCO. He has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and is involved in a variety of clinical research in the UK and at The Brunei Cancer Centre.
