Travel Insurance and COVID-19 Requirements
Foreign nationals are no longer required to possess travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage. Travel insurance has become the norm in all overseas travel and helps you prepare for your trip. You may subscribe with Insurans Islam TAIB for their Kembara Takaful coverage. Family members and visitors can also purchase medical coverage while visiting Brunei Darussalam.
E-Arrival Card (EAC)
The E-Arrival Card is Brunei Darussalam's portal for electronic registration of foreign nationals arriving or departing to/from Brunei Darussalam. It applies to all foreign nationals travelling through land, sea, and air.
Before registering for the EAC, we recommend having the following information ready:
- A valid email address where your EAC can be sent
- Full name as shown on your passport
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- Nationality as shown on your passport
- Gender as shown on your passport
- Passport details: number, place of issue, expiry date

Local Transportation
Getting around Brunei Darussalam is simple and affordable, whether by public bus or a ride-hailing app.
Brunei Bus Network
Brunei has its own bus network costing BND $1 for a one-way trip from the main bus station in the City Centre, Bandar Seri Begawan, to any route throughout Brunei. It is relatively inexpensive, though routes are limited and you may need to wait a little longer for the next bus.
