JERUDONG, 6th February 2026 – The visit formed part of JCHS’s experiential learning programme and offered students valuable exposure to the operations of a private tertiary healthcare institution.

The programme began at the JPMC Lecture Theatre with a recital of Surah Al‑Fatihah, followed by a safety video, a welcoming speech by Sister Karpagam Chakkaravarthy from the Nursing Education Unit, and a corporate presentation by Mr Nazdeny Ardian Bin Haji Johan from the Public Relations team. These sessions set the tone for the day, emphasizing both professional etiquette and JPMC’s role in advancing healthcare education.

Students were divided into six groups, each guided by JPMC nursing staff, and rotated through key departments including the Rehab Ward, Neuro Emergency Ward, Neuro Ward, TBCC (Inpatient & Outpatient), Radiotherapy, DCU, and PNU. This structured rotation allowed participants to observe multidisciplinary teams in action and gain insights into specialized areas of patient care.

The visit concluded with a photo session at the RF Foyer, capturing the collaborative spirit of the day.

Beyond the hospital tour, JPMC provided clear guidelines to ensure safety and meaningful engagement. Teachers maintained a 1:10 supervision ratio, while students were reminded of hospital etiquette, hygiene protocols, and active participation during Q&A sessions.

This initiative underscored JPMC’s commitment to nurturing Brunei’s future healthcare professionals. By opening its doors to young learners, JPMC reinforced its dedication to experiential learning, fostering awareness of diverse career pathways, and strengthening the bridge between academic institutions and the medical community.
