BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 14 August 2026 – Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) welcomed a distinguished delegation from the Royal Hospital under the Ministry of Health of the Sultanate of Oman on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, as part of JPMC’s
ongoing efforts to engage international healthcare partners in research and development, knowledge exchange and the advancement of healthcare services.
The delegation was welcomed by JPMC’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Hj Mohd Syafiq Abdullah, together with the Heads of Departments from The Brunei Cancer Centre, who joined the engagement and discussions with the visiting delegation.
The visiting delegation comprised leading healthcare representatives, including Dr. Suad Al Kharusi, Director of the National Oncology Centre; Dr. Thuraya Al Hajry from the National Oncology Centre; and Salha Al Ismaili from the International Cooperation Department.
The visit provided an opportunity for JPMC and the visiting delegation to exchange perspectives on healthcare development, with discussions particularly focusing on oncology services, clinical practices and the evolving standards of specialised cancer care.
The engagement also served as a platform to discuss potential areas for future cooperation and the way forward in strengthening knowledge exchange and exploring opportunities for research and development collaboration between healthcare
institutions.
