
10 July 2025 – Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) marked another milestone in advancing Brunei’s healthcare sector landscape with the induction of its third cohort of scholars under the JPMC Scholarship Programme. Aligned with Wawasan 2035, this initiative highlights JPMC’s dedication to nurturing local talent and bolstering the nation’s nursing workforce through its Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing programme.
The ceremony was graced by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health and Chairman and Executive Director of JPMC who attended as the Guest of Honour. Also, in attendance during today’s event were the JPMC Senior Management team.
Ms. Bun Pei Ling, Chief Financial Officer of JPMC, delivered the welcoming address, where she emphasised on JPMC’s commitment to nurture Brunei’s future healthcare leaders by investing in youth who embody excellence, compassion and ethical practice.

The ceremony honoured Azra Zawanah Binti Azri, Hannah Batrisyia Binti Azmi, Nur Hidayah @ Syafiqah Binti Haji Rosli, Nur Nazimah Aqilah Binti Nordin who will be pursuing the Foundation in Science Certification and subsequently the BSc in Nursing, and Nur Aiman Al-Ain Binti Abdul Salim who will directly commence the BSc in Nursing.
The JPMC Scholarship Programme provides comprehensive support, covering full financial assistance, rigorous academic training, hands-on clinical experience, and a clear career pathway at JPMC. Since its inception in 2023, the programme has empowered 18 scholars, fostering mentorship, lifelong professional relationships, and a shared commitment to delivering compassionate, world-class healthcare for Brunei.
