Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) hosted a “Workplace Violence, Aggression and Harassment” talk on the 7thand 8thof August, 2019 held at the Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC)Lecture Theatre, RF Floor. Representatives from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) DSP Mohd. Hassanul Fikhri bin Hj. Abdullah – District Crime Officer, Brunei-Muara Police District and DSP Hjh. Mariyani bte Hj. Abd. Wahab – Head of Woman and Child Abuse Investigation Unit, Criminal Investigation Department were invited as guest speakers for the event. The aim of the talk was to increase awareness for staffs within the subjects of violence, aggression and harassment at the workplace.

The event started with prayer recitationsof surah Al-Fatihah, session’s introduction, followed by the talk from RBPF representatives and it ended with a Question & Answer session.

The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) unit of JPMC/PJSC is focused on creating awareness and promoting HSE matters for all employees in the organizations.
Over 360 staffs from three health institutions namely – JPMC, PJSC and Gleneagles JPMC attended the two-day event. The Guest of Honor who gave his welcoming remarks for the event was Dr. Meera Sahib Kabeer, Anaesthesiologist in JPMC, in his capacity as the Medical Director of JPMC. The Chief Executive Officer of Gleneagles JPMC, Dr. Peter Tay and Hospital Administrator of PJSC, Ms. Vivian Tie were also present during the event.
