JPMC UNVEILS NEW BLOOD DONATION DRIVE VAN TO STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE SERVICES

5th November 2024Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) is proud to announce the unveiling and blessing of its newly equipped Blood Donation Drive Van. The launch ceremony, held on Tuesday, 5th November 2024 at JPMC, was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Hj Mohd Isham bin Hj Jaafar, Minister of Health in his capacity as Executive Director of JPMC. This milestone reflects JPMC’s dedication to making blood donation more accessible by reaching donors in various locations across the community.

The event was attended by senior management, head of departments and staff. The blessing ceremony began with a Doa recital, led by Religious Officer, Ustaz Ishkandar Hj Buntar, followed by the traditional Merenjis ceremony officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Hj Mohd Isham.

The Blood Donation Van is designed exclusively to facilitate blood donation drives by transporting JPMC staff and essential blood collection equipment to various locations. This enhanced mobility enables JPMC to facilitate blood donation drives with greater ease and frequency, thereby ensuring a reliable and sufficient blood supply for patients in need of transfusions.

Attendees were given the opportunity to tour the van, which is fully equipped to conduct safe and efficient blood drives. The van’s distinct branding reflects JPMC’s commitment to delivering excellent healthcare services and expanding its outreach within the community.

The launch of the new Blood Donation Drive Van aligns with JPMC’s continued efforts to address critical healthcare needs in Brunei Darussalam. By improving access to blood donation services, JPMC heightens its commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, while ensuring a consistent and reliable blood supply for patients in need.
