Previously, the Medical Social Worker (MSW) department has hosted a “World Social Work Day” event on 16th and 17th March 2021 at Lobby, Level 2 of Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC). Apart from the commemoration of the annual international initiative, the event was also intended to raise funds for the Medical Social Fund (MSF) which saw participation of 9 vendors comprises of patients and families as well as external vendors. A total of BND 605 was raised from the participating vendors to be contributed to Medical Social Fund (MSF).

The handover of contribution was received by Dato Seri Laila Jasa Dato Dr Babu Sukumaran, the chairperson of MSF and the Director of The Brunei Cancer Centre (TBCC) of PJSC. The Medical Social Fund (MSF) aims to help underprivileged patients of PJSC with daily necessities such as medical equipments, milk powder and other necessities. Public are welcomed to donate to the MSF through BIBD NexGen.
