22nd February 2024 – Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) has recently made a significant contribution by donating a fully equipped ambulance to the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BRC). This donation signifies JPMC’s commitment to supporting the important work of humanitarian organizations and improving access to emergency medical care in our community.
The ambulance, equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment, will greatly enhance the BRC’s ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and ensure that people in need receive fast, life-saving medical care.
“As a healthcare institution, we recognize the critical importance of fast and effective emergency care,” stated Ms. Bun Pei Ling, Acting Chief Operating Officer of JPMC. “We recognize the invaluable role that the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society plays in providing vital medical assistance to people in need, especially in times of crisis and emergencies. Their commitment to saving lives embodies the highest principles of compassion and humanity.“
Ms. Bun Pei Ling added, ” The donation of this ambulance is more than just providing a vehicle; it is a lifeline for people and families facing medical emergencies.”
The guest of honour at the event was Yang Mulia Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health, who is also a board member of Jerudong Park Medical Centre. Also in attendance were representatives from the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society, JPMC’s senior management team, department heads and staff. The official handover of the donated ambulance took place at JPMC on Thursday, 22nd February 2024, marking a momentous occasion in our shared commitment to supporting the well-being of our community.
