7th December 2023 – As part of the 25th year anniversary celebration, Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) in collaboration with Green Brunei and the Forestry Department of the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism embarked on a meaningful tree planting campaign on Wednesday, 6th December 2023, at the Berakas Forest Reserve Recreational Park, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Present at the event was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Ministry of Health, in his capacity as Chairman and Executive Director of JPMC, joined by Senior Management, Head of Departments, and volunteers planting saplings at Berakas Forest Reserve. “We are thrilled to celebrate 25 years of providing healthcare excellence by giving back to the community and contributing to environmental sustainability. This tree planting initiative aligns with our values, demonstrating our commitment to the well-being of both the people we serve and the planet we inhabit.” expressed Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham.
This endeavor underscores JPMC’s dedication to fostering a healthier community and preserving Brunei’s natural beauty. It also serves the dual purpose of contributing to the community, aligning with the national objective of planting 500,000 new trees by 2035.
