15 June 2026 – Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) celebrated International HR Day by organising its very own People Day 2026 in JPMC which further reaffirms its commitment to fostering a workplace culture that values, supports and empowers its people.

In alignment with this year’s International HR Day theme, “Empower People to Lead Change”, the event brought together JPMC’s executive/senior management and staff to celebrate its people and acknowledge their vital role in driving organisational success and delivering quality healthcare services to the community.

In his opening remarks, Chief People Officer of JPMC, Mr Salehin Basir, highlighted the evolving role of Human Resources in today’s rapidly changing workplace landscape.

“Across industries, organisations are navigating unprecedented change. Technology continues to reshape how we work; workforce expectations are evolving and the skills required for tomorrow are changing faster than ever before. Yet amid all this transformation, one truth remains unchanged, organisations succeed when their people succeed,” he said.

As part of JPMC’s ongoing commitment to strengthening employee experience, the event marked the introduction of People Management Services, reflecting a renewed focus on enabling people, teams and leaders to thrive.

The transition signifies a shift from viewing employees primarily through processes to understanding them through their experiences, recognising that people are not merely a resource to be managed, but the capability that drives organisational excellence.

“People Management Services reflects our aspiration to become a trusted partner in organisational success by supporting meaningful employee experiences, developing workforce capability and helping our people perform at their best throughout their journey at JPMC,” added Mr Salehin.

As part of the efforts to strengthen the employee experience, JPMC launched SEJATI, a structured onboarding programme designed to support new employees during their transition into the organisation, together with an updated People Handbook that offers a clear and accessible guide to key policies, benefits, expectations and resources.

Together, these initiatives form part of JPMC’s broader efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace environment where employees feel supported, engaged and empowered to contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s mission. Recognising that culture is shaped collectively, JPMC also emphasised the role of leaders at all levels in fostering an environment where people can grow, collaborate and succeed.

Through People Day 2026, JPMC not only celebrated its workforce but also reaffirmed its belief that investing in people remains fundamental to delivering excellence in healthcare and enhancing the experiences of patients and the wider community.
